Storm Spinner 3

Storm Spinner may look familiar; it's on the Nanovor icon! Storm Spinner is quite literally the most iconic Nanovor of them all, facing tough competition from the likes of Tank WalkerGamma Fury, and Phase Spiker, who all appear on different Nanovor titles.

Storm Spinner 3.0 is the strongest form of Storm Spinner, and is the version that deals the heaviest damage:

  • Slow Down deals 35 damage, but is not exactly better than Spin Strike; it has swapped armor-piercing ability for SPD-sabotaging abilities.
  • Storm Strike deals 46 damage and swap-blocks the target for 2 rounds.
  • Storm Fire also deals 46 damage and ignores ARM, as well as stripping the target of their ARM. This can compensate for Slow Down's inability to pierce ARM.

OVERVIEW[]

  • "Let's get ready tooooo.....!!!" Well, you know how it goes. Storm Spinner 3.0 is the baddest of the bad and he'll be the first to tell you just how magnificent a gladiator he really is. If you read the 2.0 entry, you'll need to step it up a notch to understand the personality of Storm Spinner 3.0. This guy arrives to his match on the Las Vegas Strip in a helicopter, rappelling down using a flag as a cape while fireworks explode around him. If you're not blinded by the laser lightshow, you can just make out this guy flexing his muscles and running around the ring like a speed freak, yelling into the microphone about how he's going to turn the other guy into the consistency of pudding. Little bit of ego on this Nanovor? Just a bit.

HOW TO OBTAIN[]

This Nanovor was first made available 09/11/09. To obtain this Nanovor, you must evolve Storm Spinner 2.0 using the EMs 1V4, 1V1, 1V1 and 1V4 in that order.

TACTICS[]

  • Storm Spinner 3.0's attacks range from reasonably priced to a little sticker shock. Storm Strike and Stormfire take a couple of rounds to build up the energy needed to pull them off, but he's tough enough to stand tall and take it like a man -- uh nano-man -- while this happens, however. Even if you don't use Storm Spinner in an offensive capability, you can swap him in mid-game, to use Slowdown to take care of Hexites and other super quick Nanovor that always seem to go first. Storm Spinner 3.0 works great to pop in for a quick swap block, too, and if you've got the energy to spare you might as well take some armor off the enemy while you're at it.

COUNTER TACTICS[]

  • Don't Let It Do Heavy Damage! The most frightening attacks tend to be the most expensive, so prevent Storm Spinner from getting enough energy to do a lot of damage. Start off with your Electrobull 1.0 and pass for a turn. Then, attack with your Gigastriker 2.0's Psi-strike. This attack will do damage and take away energy! On the next turn, attack with your Spike Spine 2.0's Arcing Gore for some more damage.
  • Use Cosmic Force! Sometimes it may seem like a cheap shot, but desperate times call for desperate measures! Start off with a Nanovor with heavy armor like your Mega Scorpion 2.0. Pass the turn, and then swap in your Phase Tank 1.0 and attack with Cosmic Crush for amazing damage!
  • End With a Blast! Start off the battle with your Electrobull 1.0 and attack with Gore. Then, swap in your Battle Kraken 3.0 to attack with Blue Blast. Storm Spinner won't even have time to wave a white flag.

ORIGINS[]

  • Storm Spinner 3.0 worked in concert with the leaders of the Velocitron forces, using their abilities to turn enemies into slow-moving, weak, disorganized forces. Other Nanovor seem energized and excited in the presence of a Storm Spinner 3.0, which was often all that it took to turn the tide in a battle. Although a capable fighter on its own, Storm Spinner 3.0 seems to prefer working in conjunction with other Nanovor and is given a tremendous amount of respect by others who are impressed by its upbeat attitude and seeming sense of indestructibility.
