Wave 2 Thunderpoid

Nature

Well, it’s definitely getting a little bit creeper! Thunderpoid 2.0 seems to use its tiny jellyfish even more than 1.0. What did I tell you? It’s starting to get a little bit power hungry. Of course I really can’t blame it. I’ll always have a soft spot for those awesome jellyfish. I mean, wouldn’t it be cool if your hair was tiny little versions of yourself and fought all your battles for you? All right well I guess that’s not the same… but still. Man I should stop playing with Thunderpoid 2.0 so much. I think it’s messing with my head!

Strategy

Get your Thunderpoid 2.0 in the game as soon as possible and use Thunderpower to gain some Strength. The sooner you do this, the sooner your attacks will be able to do more damage. Then you can attack with Entangle to get some serious damage in! But to do Thunderpoid’s most expensive attack, you’ll have to swap it out for a round or two and gain some energy. Then you’ll be able to damage AND swap-block the opponent with Swarm Shot. Use this attack against what you imagine to be the other swarm’s best Nanovor. If you take out that threat, your swarm will be much less threatened. Good for a quick hit here and there, or as a blocker for the rest of your swarm, Thunderpoid 2.0 is ready to help!

Splat File

Gain some Speed! Start the battle with your Turbo Master 1.0 and attack with Speed Trade. You’ll gain the Speed that you siphoned off of Thunderpoid 2.0! Now, if Thunderpoid decides to swap-block you, at least you’ll be more likely to get the first hit in.

Be Smart about Energy! When you notice that Thunderpoid has enough energy to swap-block you, swap in your Tank Walker 2.0. It may have to stay in battle for a couple of rounds, but it has enough health to do so. Not only that, but its attacks are so versatile. It’ll never have to fizzle just because it can’t swap out.

Snatch some Strength! If Thunderpoid 2.0 thinks it’s going to get any stronger with its Thunderpower, then it’s sorely mistaken. Start off with your Spike Spine 1.0 and attack with Charge to save up some Energy. Then, swap in your Scarab Roller 2.0 and attack with Spin Out to both do damage and take away some Strength.

Origins

Dated Entry: Doc, 41 days, 6 hours

Its skin has darkened, and its eyes have a ghoulish glow to them, akin to those of a human in a dream-like state. Clearly, Thunderpoid is stumbling slowly into a power-fueled madness. Perhaps it’s a classic example of form fitting function. Thunderpoid was created with these jellyfish to do its bidding—perhaps Thunderpoid can only succeed if it depends on these minions to obey it. Perhaps what I regard as madness is just Thunderpoid becoming more and more sane: accepting its fate. Or is it just that I’m going crazy?
